The Music and Sound Awards: Nominees announced

The Music and Sound Awards - the UK’s first awards ceremony to recognise the indispensable role that music and sound design plays in the world of visual media – have announced this year’s nominees.

The Awards will recognise Best Original Compositions, Best Sound Design and Best Sync / Use of Existing Music in a wide variety of media, including feature film, television programme, computer game and non-broadcast or viral advertising.

The inaugural ceremony on Thursday 23rd February at Koko, Camden Town will be hosted by comedian and entertainer Adam Buxton and promises to be runaway success!

The night’s entertainment will feature the phenomenal Noisettes, the platinum selling stars behind the UK dance hit Don’t Upset the Rhythm (Go Baby Go). The ceremony will also showcase the extraordinary, virtuoso guitar playing of singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner, the Brit-nominated creator of the double platinum selling album Hand Built by Robots. The Phenomenal Handclap Band will open the ceremony with their genre-spanning dance party, and the entertainment will continue into the early hours with guest DJs Gary Numan and Ade Fenton, joined by Club NME DJs.
