The Ivors Interviews. BASCA commissioned a series of interviews this year which featured in The Ivors event programme. Labrinth, last year’s winner of Best Contemporary Song, talks about how life has changed over the last twelve months. Singer-songwriter Natasha Khan, better known as Bat for Lashes, reflects on the craft of songwriting and how it felt to win an Ivor in 2009. Dan Jones is a composer and sound designer working in film, TV and theatre; he talks about his double Ivor-winning career and how he approaches writing for the screen. Jazzie B was the inaugural recipient of The Ivors Inspiration Award in 2008, which was the same year he received an OBE; he discusses what it was like to be honoured after a long career as a pioneer in the music industry. Paul Gambaccini talks about his quarter century as the host of The Ivors and looks back over his personal highlights from the last twenty five years of the event.
