Songs from the BIG chair

Hit songwriter, Gary Osborne, takes part in the first of ‘Songs from the BIG chair’ at The Bedford in South London.
Already well known for discovering and promoting the best in new and emerging music, The Bedford is now bringing a fresh twist to its music nights. The 17th September launches the Songs from the BIG chair in which successful songwriters will be interviewed on stage in front of a live audience, one on one.
The inaugural event will see music legend, Gary Osborne talk to musical and creative director of the venue, Tony Moore, in an intimate and revealing conversation that will run from 7:30-8:30pm. Entry is free and during the interview there will be opportunities for Q&A from the audience.
Gary Osborne has had a long and fascinating musical history with extensive experience as a songwriter, singer, performer and much-respected member of the music industry. He is best known for his co-writing contribution to many of Elton John’s albums, including hits such as ‘Blue Eyes’, ‘Part Time Love’ and ‘Little Jeanie’ as well as providing lyrics for Jeff Wayne’s ‘War Of The Worlds’.
Over the last 10 years The Bedford has won numerous awards (Best Acoustic Venue In London - Evening Standard, Winner of the House Of Commons "Rock The House" Small Venue of the Year) and gained critical recognition for the pivotal role it has played in helping to launch the careers of many acts including Seth Lakeman, Paolo Nutini, Newton Faulkner, James Morrison and most recently Ed Sheeran.
