BASCA CEO Steps Down
3 October 2012
Patrick Rackow, Chief Executive Officer of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors has decided to step down from his post for personal reasons.
BASCA Chairman, Sarah Rodgers said, “Patrick joined BASCA in 2002 as an External Director to the Board. In 2008, on the departure of Chris Green, Patrick was appointed BASCA CEO. In the four years he has been in the role, Patrick has ably represented composers and songwriters in the political arena at home and abroad and has been particularly effective as spokesperson for the European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA).
We are sorry to see Patrick go and will miss his knowledge and expertise. Our best wishes go with him for the future."
BASCA will be instigating the search for a new CEO without delay. In the interim the normal business of the office will continue to be overseen by BASCA Chief Operating Officer, Vick Bain.
