David Penri-Evans

David Penri-Evans

David was born in Wrexham, Wales in 1956 and has studied composition at Centenary College of Louisiana, the University of Wales, Trinity College, London and was awarded a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Louisiana State University in 1986 where he was a student of Dinos Constantinides.

His many works reflect his Welsh heritage and, though not a direct influence, a feeling for the music of the “Deep South” pervades his music. He has many commissions to his name and his music has been performed in Britain, Europe and America. Currently he is Head of Music at Brooklands College, Weybridge.
