David Lowe
David Lowe is best known for his music for Television. He has been commissioned to write for over 200 programmes series and commercials, notably the current distinctive music for all BBC News output, but also for Grand Designs on Channel 4, The BAFTA Film awards, East Enders, The Ivor Novello Awards, David Attenborough, Jeremy Clarkson, British Airways, Hagen Dazs and many more. He has had three albums commercially released, two under the name Dreamcatcher, which he has performed at major events and festivals such as Womad (World Music and Dance) in Singapore and Grand Canarias, and at the Eden project in Cornwall. Under the name Touch and Go he had a top 3 hit in the UK and Europe in 1998/99 with his single “Would You…?” The accompanying album “I Find You Very Attractive” spawned more hit singles in Eastern Europe and Russia. “Straight To Number One” was chosen by Apple to launch the itunes site in the USA, where every track has been used in films, television and commercials. He is currently working on more songwriting, and the creation of a new musical identity for the BBC World Service.
