Biography
Musical education began as a Quirister at Winchester College, then read music under Arthur Hutchings at Durham (B A Hons). Taught in most of the home counties, finishing as a Director of Music in N W Kent. Was a singing and playing member of the Thameside Waites before founding my own group, Danserye.
In 'retirement' I founded and directed a chamber choir, Nova Cantica, which flourished for nineteen years, specialising in mediaeval and Renaissance a cappella repertoire, but also commissioning new works and performing my original pieces and arrangements. Now have a large repertoire of original work available for other choirs, as well as 'library' sets (normally of 15 copies) of many Renaissance works.
