Biography

Jonathan Ware is an award winning music producer, composer & sound designer producing work for film & television.

He has a BA(hons) degree in Music from The University of Westminster - London. Jonathan signed to Sony Music Publishing in the early 90's as an exclusive composer/producer.

From 1999 to 2004, Jonathan was the senior music producer & creative director for a leading European media music house based in Amsterdam, where he supervised and produced music for over 200 television and media projects - from mainstream children's animation series to documentary and drama, current affairs & news theme packages for international networks including Italy, Poland, Spain, UK, Egypt, Australia, Netherlands & Germany, several network branding designs including ITV1, ITV3, MTV and SKY, SBS and MBC and an extensive portfolio of international TV & Cinema advertising campaigns.

Jon returned to the UK in 2004 where he co-founded a new media music production company called " 1-Louder Music Ltd ", a company that has continued to develop an impressive portfolio of work gaining a highly regarded creative reputation within the international media community.

In his recent work as a composer, Jon composed the music for an international Canon TV and Cinema campaign (featuring the AISR Children’s Choir) for which he received a D&AD 2006 - in-book selection for “Best Use of Music”, an ADCN nomination for “Best Music”, a Finalist certificate in the Best Original Music Score category at the New York Festival Awards, and was one of 4 Nominees for Best Music at the 2006 VDW Awards, as well as several campaign awards including a Silver Epica Award and a Silver Euro Effie Award.

Other credits include productions for Disney, BBC, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Puma, Audi, BMW, Siemens and Nike.

Jonathan is a full member of the MCPS/PRS, and a professional member of BASCA. 

Jon has worked on soundtracks for prominent directors including Wim Wenders, Tony Kaye and Noam Murro.
